While playing with some extraction software that I downloaded, I tried it on my copy of “The Magic School Bus visits the Solar System”, and lo and behold, I was able to extract each and every sound clip used in the game.
In the very first screen, you can click on the world globe to access a variety of otherworldly planets, which were little more than toys to mess around with. One in particular was divided into quadrants, which when clicked on produced a short music clip. If a whole image was pieced together from the quarters, a longer music clip (mixed from each of the shorter ones) was played.
Now, for some reason, on one of our first computers, it was unable to play a few of the clips to their full duration. Fortunately, I am now able to hear the entire clips via their extraction–and now you can too!
Each of the four “faces” are featured; first each quadrant, which is highlighted, and then the full face. Enjoy!
